Just a few weeks after Rally Sweden, and Eurolamp WRT is going to start the next race. On first days of spring, from March 03 to March 06, we will be witnesses of Rally Mexico, third event of World Rally Championship.

Obviously Rally Mexico is very important for the team. First of all, both the crew and the technical staff want to check as soon as possible how efficient will be improvements of work with WRC car that have been done after deep Rally Sweden analyse. From other side, Ukrainians have active Mexican debt from last year.

Rally Mexico 2015. Hard debut
For Eurolamp WRT last year race was the first visit to Mexico. But unfortunately the debut was very hard.

After the crew carefully passed overnight opened super special stage, Valery Gorban and Vladimir Korsia started the first full race day with strong intention to fight for high position on race result list. And they did when the car didn’t let down. The crew occupied twice fourth row of stage results lists in WRC2 category and once – third row. But unfortunately the car did not withstand tough conditions of Rally Mexico very often.  Flat tyre, destroyed nipple of power steering, brake failure – it was Friday luggage of troubles, which prevented good pace.

Saturday started by passing morning special stage with opened bonnet. Day continued by brake overheating and drive-shift cutting and ended by crash on SS15. The car was damaged very badly during the accident so the team was forced to end the rally ahead of time…
